About Mr. Harris
I have lived in Minnesota all my life, except for the few years I spent teaching abroad in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. I received my Bachelor's degree in Music, Philosophy, and Anthropology from St. Cloud State University, and I'm currently working on my Master's degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College. Last year was my first year in the Mounds View school district, which I spent as an LRT in Kindergarten at Bel-Air Elementary. I am very excited to be back as the Kindergarten specialist at Bel-Air for the 2013-14 school year, and look forward to sharing my love of music, art, science, technology, and healthy living with our new friends!
My Family
I live in NE Minneapolis with my family. Shawn just turned six years old and began Kindergarten at Waite Park Elementary, not far from Bel Air. Little baby Adeline is almost one year old now and is nearly walking! Their mom is also a teacher, working in special education in New Hope. We also have a three year old Pomeranian puppy named Delilah, who is cute when she's not yipping and nipping at us. My parents are both pharmacists and still live in the small town I grew up in, Mantorville Minnesota with their two dogs. My brother is an engineer in Aitkin MN, and my sister is also an engineer, for Israel Air, but she lives just around the corner from me!
